The sages of India speak in many of the ancient texts about enlightenment, our own true self, a higher power. Similar awareness’s exist in many cultures. Is it really any surprise that the book and movie, The Secret, is such a surprise? If you haven’t heard about it, read on. If you have, share the message. The simple truth of the secret is that there is no secret. We all are destined for greatness, if we only choose to believe it. When we think positive – act positive – feel positive, we can’t help but attract positive things into our lives. The law of attraction is as real as the breeze you feel on your face; even though you can’t see it or hold it. There are actually lots of books and information about this experience if you really want to dig into it. I’ll give you a glimpse of the quick and simple version. Someone dear to me grew up with the attitude of deserving everything but not getting anything. There were always excuses about why the great job went to someone else, why it rained on their birthday, why money was so elusive. Needless to say, this person struggled with employment, spent time in jail, went through several bad relationships and had suicidal thoughts. The truth is that this person ONLY thought about what they DIDN’T have in their life; they manifested exactly THAT. It took many, many years and loving discussions with them for them to realise happiness is within. I’m proud to say now this person, through positive self-talk, a great support group and a meditation practice, has a comfortable life, loving family and great job. They appreciate it every day! That’s the next secret, appreciate what you do have. Feel the true, gut experience of gratitude. Take time every day to express gratitude for something positive in your life. Right now – take one minute to remind yourself how blessed you are and make a positive statement of what you DO have/want. (I am capable of amazing financial security with my creative ideas). Feel gratitude; be grateful. Appreciate your next breath or your dog’s warm snuggle. |
